About the Program:

This is a full contact, tackle football program. Participants will wear full pads, and will be coached on the fundamentals of tackle football through practices and games. This program is mainly an “in house” program with a potential travel weekend, to either Amery or Osceola, for a Scrimmage Jamboree.  The program begins the week of August 2^nd, with clinics and player evaluations, and ends mid October with Championship and Consolation games. Game schedules will consist of five league games and at least one playoff game, with a maximum of three playoff games. Practices begin the week of August 16th, and will generally be two to three nights a week throughout the season.

 2010 REGISTRATION

The New Richmond Area Youth Sports Association will be registering kids for the upcoming baseball, soccer and girls softball seasons on February 25^th and February 27^th, 2010, at the KC Hall in New Richmond. Thursday, February 25th will be from 5:00pm to 8:00pm and Saturday, February 27th will be from 9:00am to 12:00pm.

Also, those interested in signing up for the Tiger Sharks swim team can do so at this time as well. For more information on this program, please contact:

A few other things to note before registration:

1.      Do to the size of our baseball program and number of participants; we encourage families interested in baseball to register on-line at www.nrbaseballclub.org. Program includes T-Ball, Coach Pitch, Majors, Minors, Babe Ruth and Traveling teams.

2.      Adults interested in coaching can sign up at this time as well.

3.      5^th and 6^th grade youth football will not be conducting registrations at this time. This registration will take place at the end of July.  An information sheet will be available.

Come join us for the pre-game Tailgate party at the New Richmond High School on Sept. 25th 2009. NRAYSA will be running the concession stand along with other festivities for this event.  

• We will be having the tailgate party from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm at the fenced in practice area of the High School. 
•  During the tailgate party, we have a DJ lined up to be playing music, the art class will be doing face painting, the baseball club will be selling NR Baseball and Tiger apparel, and the football club will be holding a throwing accuracy event.
• Around 6:00pm we will give away some type of prize to the wildest or best “Tiger” get up. 

NRAYSA Meeting Minutes

December 1, 2008

Present:  Bryan Graff, Dennis Brunkhorst, Mike Anderson, Pat Flandrick, Dave Ritter, Dave Mehls, Mike Bonney, Deb Keller

A.  Call to Order

          The meeting was called to order by President Dave Mehls at 6:13 pm.

B.  Adoption of Agenda

Motion made by Bryan Graff and seconded by Dennis Brunkhorst to adopt the agenda for the meeting. Motion passed 8-0.

C.  Approve Minutes of Previous Meeting

Motion made by Mike Anderson and seconded by Dave Ritter to approve the minutes from the October 26th meeting.  Motion passed  8-0.

D.  Treasurer’s Report

Doreen was not at the meeting, but Dave Mehls reported that the most current figures he has, show that we have $8978.06 in WCU and $15,492.29 in Bremer.  The Football Club will be depositing $1030.00 in our WCU account collected from the $10 park fee to registrations. 

Dave reported that we will be receiving $4800 from the farmer’s lease on the Hatfield land.  We will also be receiving approx. $10,000 from Park Development Fund for new housing.  He is trying to secure 20% of the hotel tax and is still waiting to hear on that. 

E.  Old Business

          1.  Parkland Update

Dave would like to put a fence up between the parking lot and the soccer fields.  It should cost about $5000 for a 6 foot fence.  We may add a net to the top of that later. 

Dave and Mike A. will talk to the St. Croix Homebuilders Association about volunteering some time to help construct buildings, shelters or other items at the new park. There is a possibility that they might be able to help.

          2.  2009 Registration Dates

                   March 4 5-8 pm

                   March 8 and Pancake Breakfast  8 am – 12 noon

                   Soccer and baseball are starting online registration on January 5th.

F.  New Business

          1.  2009 Sponsor Letters

Dave would like to add information letters about how sponsors can donate to pancake breakfast, homecoming concession stand, or the golf tournament that Mike Bonney has volunteered to organize this summer.  He would like only one letter from NRAYSA to be sent to each sponsor. 

G.  Sports Club Updates

1.  Baseball – none

2.  Football – Mark Singerhouse is stepping down as head of the club, and Dick O’Connell is taking his place.

3.  Soccer – upcoming fundraiser.  Dave will be sending a flyer out to all of you to send on to your club members.

4.  Softball – none
